Make a home
So what do I do?
Rather than build a house to welcome hedgehogs into your garden, try building a feeding station.

Grab a square plastic washing up bowl or an underbed storage box.
Turn upside down and cut a CD sized hole in the short end.
Bind the edges with sticky tape so that the hedgehog won't hurt itself when entering. Line with newspaper and fill with treated hay putting a shallow dish of water and some dried kitten biscuits at the opposite end to the entrance (they prefer chicken flabour). Cover the washing up bowl with dried leaves and twigs to camouflage it and place in a quiet secluded part of your garden. About 12 inches from the entrance place a brick. (This will deter any cats that might be trying to get at the food as they will not lay over a brick to put their paws into the entrance).
Remember to change the water every day and top up food if necessary.
